As part of our vision we want to spread the love of Jesus into the world, locally and globally.

Drop In and Lunch Club

Join us for tea, coffee, chat and board-games from 10:00am at The Chapel on Tuesdays. Stay on, or come at noon for a two course hot dinner for £5.50. Suitable for older people in the local villages.

Social events

We have regular social events throughout the year to grow relationships with each other and our community. On Sundays we often have bring and share lunches. In the Chapel we host quizzes, fundraising events for different charities, craft events, and popular Free Fun Fridays for children in the school holidays.

Open the Book

A team from Light of Life and St Margaret’s Parish Church run ‘Open the Book’, going into local primary schools to act out Bible stories in assembly.

Christian Aid Week

During Christian Aid week we host a series of fundraising events in the Chapel in partnership with St Margaret’s Parish Church. Each year we raise thousands of pounds for the wonderful work of this charity supporting people in developing countries.

Fairtrade and Local suppliers

We are a Fairtrade church, which means we use fairly-traded products wherever possible. We have fairtrade products on sale in church and in the Chapel Coffee House. We also believe it is important to support the local community by using local suppliers for our ingredients where possible.

Silver Ecochurch Award

In 2018 we received a Silver Ecochurch Award! We recognise that living a life for Jesus means caring for His Creation. We try to minimise the impact our church has on the environment, from composting our kitchen waste to replacing all our heaters and light bulbs to more energy-efficient models. We celebrate creation in our worship and we encourage each other to make responsible choices day to day.
